Hoosier Hideaway is a housekeeping cottage resort located on beautiful Lake Bruce, near Kewanna, Indiana.

Lake Bruce is a 290 acre spring-fed lake, with excellent fishing. The lake has plenty of bass, crappie, bluegill and perch for your fishing pleasure. This is a no-wake lake (10 mph speed limit). The fishing is great, and we have the only beach on Lake Bruce.

We have 2 and 3 bedroom cottages available. All you need are bed linens, blankets, and towels.

All rentals have hot showers, heat, and air-conditioning. We have pontoon and fishing boat rentals, too.

Ever since the dashing French aviator, Ren� Simon, first touched down in South Bend in 1911 marking the area�s first recorded airplane flight, the Michiana region has played an exciting and often pivotal role in aviation history. For more than sixty years, beginning in 1929 when local industrialist Vincent Bendix began constructing the airport, South Bend Regional Airport has been a proud participant in that rich tradition and heritage. Back then, the airport logged a handful of flights on a chalkboard that was postedi out of doors, near a dirt runway.
